7 DAY ITINERARY FOR THE SPORADES
Day 1 & 2
Agios Konstantinos to Skiathos
Skiathos, an island that is favoured amongst the tourists, combines wonderful beaches, lush green scenery, great dining and lively nightlife. The island has an abundance of beautiful beaches that offer all kinds of water sports, with the most popular being Koukounaries, Banana Beach, Agia Eleni, Aselinos and Kanapitsa. The main city port is busy in the evening with a variety of restaurants and traditional taverns and a vivid nightlife.
Skiathos to Skopelos
The island of Skopelos is a more compact and unspoiled version of Skiathos, with numerous beautiful beaches and coves. The endless Milia, the tiny Andrines, the unique Kastani, Staphylos and Velanio, are only a few of the island’s lovely beaches that visitors enjoy discovering! Skopelos gained worldwide attraction and attention as the movie “Mamma Mia” was filmed on the island.
Skopelos to Alonissos
Only a few miles away from Skopelos lies the enchanting island of Alonissos with its pristine beaches and turquoise waters. Alonissos is a sanctuary for the “monachus monachus” seals that are a protected species, making its coast the cleanest in the entire Mediterranean! A visitor can enjoy the local cuisine in “Patitiri” the islands main port and the “Old Village”.
Alonissos to Peristera
Peristera stretches parallel to the eastern shores of Alonissos. The island is uninhabited and housing only a shepherd’s cabin. Most of its surface is covered with vegetation and a few grazing goats. Peristera has an abundance of unspoiled beaches, some of which are Kokkalias, Vasiliko, Kounoupas, Livadakia, Kalamakia, Tarsanades, Xylo and Spasmeni. A great destination to relax overnight at anchor.
Peristera to Skyros
The landscape of Skyros combines sea and mountains, with green and light blue colors blending together perfectly. Traditional artwork (local ceramics, woodcarving and carpets) can be found throughout the island giving the impression of a natural museum. The coastal resorts of Molos and Magazia, located below the town of Chora are the largest and most popular beaches of Skyros. The world renowned miniature “Skyriana” horses are the island’s trademark.
